What using this site means

By reading Solomonsdiving you accept that the articles are a starting point for your own planning in the water and on the road, and that these terms govern how you use them. Questions can go to [email protected].

Not safety or medical advice

Content on diving, snorkeling, marine life and island travel is general information and personal opinion. It is not training, a substitute for a certified instructor or a dive briefing, and not medical advice. Currents, visibility, depth, your fitness and your health all change the risk. Get proper instruction, dive within your certification, check your gear and ask a doctor about fitness to dive. Some marine animals sting, bite or are protected by law, so follow local guidance and never touch or feed them.

Ownership of material

The articles, their layout and the original photographs on Solomonsdiving remain the property of the operator unless credited to someone who allowed their use. Linking to a page or quoting a couple of lines with a clear credit is fine. Please ask in writing before copying full articles or using them for business purposes.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the site, flood it with automated requests, plant malicious code, send spam through it or use it for unlawful ends. Access can be cut off for anyone whose behaviour puts the site or other readers at risk.

What you send us

When you submit a correction, sighting note or topic idea, you confirm you may share it. By sending it, you let the operator draw on it when improving articles, and we are not obliged to reply or print it.

Ads, affiliate links and outside sites

The site may carry advertising or affiliate links, which could earn the operator a commission at no extra cost to you, and any such link will not change what an article says. Pages about diving and island travel may point readers to dive centres, gear makers, ferry and flight providers, guesthouses and conservation or science sources. Those sites are outside our control, and we cannot vouch for their prices, safety standards or availability.

Warranties and liability

Solomonsdiving is offered in its current state, without a promise that every article is complete, current or always reachable. To the extent the law permits, the operator is not liable for loss or injury arising from use of the site or from relying on its articles, for example on a dive plan or a travel booking. Statutory rights that cannot be waived, and liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, remain untouched.

Changes and severability

These terms and the site may change as the blog grows, and revised terms take effect when posted. If a tribunal ever finds that one clause here cannot be enforced, the remaining clauses still govern your use of the dive and travel pages.
